In this series of images shot by Isabell Annalin Hansen, we are imagining RITUALS OF THE PLANT OBSESSED-  engaging in voyeuristic documentation of our friend Mendel's indulgence in a milky latex Papain bath. 

Papain, found in the white milky latex secretions of the unripe papaya fruit contains substances that help combat infection and assist with the healing of open wounds- In contrast, the latex content in the papaya's secretions can cause irritation and inflammation to the skin.
